Why $50K?
Welcome to 2008, our 10th year in ministry!
We are so thankful as we reflect on the first 10 years of ministry and remember all of the amazing things the Lord has done. We look ahead with even more expectation, as the Lord seems to be opening door after door for us! As we move ahead into the future, we need your help to bring closure to our last season and to set us on a firm financial footing to move forward. What's ahead?
Amani Records:
2007 saw the official launch of our record label as a sister organization to Isaiah Six Ministries. Amani's first recording project was Derek's solo album, Prophets and Princes. With two other artists in the studio right now, and doors of relationship opening before us, amazing things are in store for this new work!

Ugandan Water Project:
For the past six months we've been working toward launching this amazing outreach to Uganda. By raising funds to place cistern water tanks next to churches in Ugandan villages, we'll be able to provide clean water for those who desperately need it, and help the churches to reach their communities for Christ. Right now, we have the opportunity to serve over 800 Ugandan churches in this way. We're planning to travel to Uganda in August to film a promo video and perform public evangelistic concerts.
Redemption Youth Campaigns:
We will continue to work with organizations reaching youth (Youth For Christ, The Joshua Revolution, Elim Fellowship), and work to develop an effective strategy for uniting churches to evangelize youth in specific cities.

Message through Media:
God is opening more and more doors for our books and albums to go across the world. Testimonies come in weekly about how the Lord is using albums like Jealous One and books like Enoch Walked With God to encourage, heal, inspire, challenge, and most importantly, to deepen a revelation of God's grace. We are convinced that creating recorded music and publishing books is something God is going to continue to use. The book version of Jealous One is almost done, and a new worship album is due out this year!

In the midst of our excitement about the future, there are two sobering things we need to ask for your help with.
1. Derek's vocal cord injury:
Derek is not only a sought-after worship leader, but is now a sought-after speaker. Derek and Isaiah Six have been so busy for the last six months that he has not had sufficient time to rest his voice before he is back on the road again. In early January, Derek began to feel pain in his throat. By mid-February, he was having pain swallowing, and even talking. After seeing a specialist who inserted a camera through his nose and down his throat), he was told that his left vocal cords are ruptured. This will take sufficient time to heal, and will require a season of rest. This is obviously a serious matter for the ministry, as two-thirds of ministry income comes from traveling ministry where Derek is singing, speaking or both. Derek will need to lighten his load for several months, putting the ministry in a place where we need a financial miracle.
2. Debt-reduction:
While our first ten years has been fruitful, our steps of faith and obedience have left the ministry with a sizeable debt of nearly $40,000. This debt came from, 1) Hosting Beyond the Song 2004-2006 (our worship-missions festivals), an enormous financial and administrative undertaking. 2) Abundant missions work. Going, sending, and administrating missions, though extremely fruitful and fulfilling, cost Isaiah Six. We have no regrets, though we do have debts. 3) Jealous One album and marketing. We incurred some debt in creating and marketing the album. Though we have recouped the budget and more, product sales have had to go toward ministry overhead, and not our debt. 4) Ministry Support Challenges: Isaiah Six Ministries is supported by a faithful core group of financial partners. These individuals and churches are precious to us and we are so grateful to them. As we have aggressively pursued the work of the ministry, over the years we have come to realize that we have not put much attention to inviting new partners to join us as the ministry has grown. We now recognize that our ministry needs to give people the opportunity to be part of what we're doing through regular financial support.
